To Con or Not to Con?

A dear friend’s husband is an award-winning illustrator who generously offers Comic-con tickets every year.  For a variety of reasons, we are passing on the passes this year.  (Passing, as in no thanks, not passing as in passing them along – poor word choice – now we will be inundated with emails asking for the tickets, ha!)

The one person who could get Jennifer to go, though, is Laini Taylor.  The author of the “Daughter of Smoke and Bone” Trilogy will be speaking at Comic-con this year.  Jennifer adores this series.  A movie is in the making (get ready for some serious CGI, folks) and we predict everyone will want to role play in this world.  By next year, you’ll be saying “Oh, another girl with antelope horns, hooves, and the wings of a bat.  Yawn.”  Okay, maybe not.  But if you need someone to turn your “Dreams of Gods and Monsters” into reality, look no further.  Jennifer’s thinking she’d love to turn someone into a lion-aspect Dashnag.  (Read the books.  Trust us.)  We are LEO DUO, after all.

These are actually the Canadian book covers, but we like them better than the cover art for the US release.
